The future of local government in the area is also being reviewed and, whatever the outcome, this council needs to prepare for the future. We are a forward-thinking authority, which is why we are looking for someone to come in and bring innovative solutions to the challenges we face. It is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career, and have a positive impact during a challenging time for local government, as well as the unique opportunity to be part of the team who helps to rebuild local government in Northamptonshire.

As the Director of Resources, you will be responsible for the Council’s finances, not only looking for ways to create better returns and efficiencies but also to lead the council’s input on the financial transition to the future local government arrangements.

Part of the Senior Management Team, you will share your knowledge and influence the leadership of the organisation. You will also have responsibility for a range of services, strategic projects and programmes, including contributing to the delivery of the Council’s wider objectives.
